Bridging the gap between vet visits and everyday care.
You love your animals whether they’re galloping in your pasture, curled up on your couch, or greeting you at the door with pure joy. But between veterinary appointments, you’re on your own to make countless daily decisions about their health and well-being.
That’s where we come in.

About Us,
I’m Eleanor, a Rhode Island girl who spent years chasing the dream of becoming a veterinarian and thanks to a lot of hard work (and the people who believed in me), I made it happen.
After about a decade practicing ambulatory equine medicine, I made the jump to the “dark side” small animal veterinary care. Horses will always be my first love, but helping all animals and the people who care for them? That’s my real calling.
Now, with Whiskers, Hooves & Health, I’m finally bringing another dream to life: sharing solid, research-backed information with pet parents, horse lovers, and anyone who wants to be better, more informed, and more connected to the animals they love.
I’m lucky to have my sister-from-another-mother and witchy creative genius, Alie, along for the ride. I like to think of myself as a wizard when it comes to animal care… but when it comes to creativity? Yeah, that’s all her.
I’m so excited you’re here, let’s make animal care make sense, together.

What We Do
We specialize in the space between professional veterinary care and your daily life with animals. From horses to cats to dogs, we provide the practical knowledge that helps you:
- Recognize early warning signs before they become emergencies
- Handle routine care confidently without constant vet calls
- Know when to treat at home and when professional help is needed
- Prevent problems through proper daily management

Our Approach
Veterinary science meets real-world practicality. We take complex medical knowledge and translate it into clear, actionable guidance for pet parents managing everything from basic grooming to medication administration.
Species-specific expertise. A horse’s needs aren’t the same as a house cat’s. We provide targeted advice that respects the unique biology and behavior of each animal.
Honest about boundaries. We’ll never tell you to skip the vet when you need one. Instead, we help you become a more informed partner in your animal’s healthcare team.
Why This Matters
Your animals depend on you every single day, not just when they’re sick. The better you understand their needs, the healthier and happier they’ll be. As you become more confident in caring for them, your bond with them will deepen.
We’re here to help you give the best possible care, whether your companion has hooves, paws, or whiskers.
